2014

It's time to watch fireworks and reflect on the last 365 days, and celebrate my anniversary, this year, from the comfort of my bed. As I recover from a minor surgery, I am reminded of how blessed my family and I are to be healthy and truly happy.  Every year has trials and triumphs, some of which, I document right here. But when I look back at the year as a whole, I can't help but smile... it was a good one. Then again, it's all about perspective, I choose to remember and cherish the happy moments filled with love, friends and family.

Brace yourself, here comes the mushy stuff.
I can't help but feel extra sentimental this year, with a man who really pulled through with the whole  "in sickness and in health" gig. He has been quite the caregiver the last few days. Not to mention, the efforts he has gone to just to put a smile on my face while I've been stuck in bed.  This guy of mine has a heart of gold. How'd I get so lucky, folks?

So, babe, thank you for loving me and choosing me to be your forever. You're without a doubt my favorite human. Now, let's celebrate our three awesome years of marriage with that delicious Reese's on the nightstand. PARTY ANIMALS.

Here's a look at what 2014 looked like according to my iPhone:

730 Days

Warning: This post is super mushy.

December 31st marked two years since I said 'I do' to my best friend. We welcomed the new year and celebrated our anniversary tucked away in a booth at one of our favorite restaurants near our first house. I loved everything about this night,  the only way it could have been better is if it didn't end.

Chris: Thank you for challenging me and making me a better person each and every day. I wouldn't want to be on this journey called life with anyone else. In the past two years I have learned a lot about compromise, appreciation, loss, happiness and change, but mostly I have learned about true, pure love. I know without a doubt you are my soul mate and my forver. Happy Anniversary, babe. I love you always.

365 Days

Chris and I celebrated our one year anniversary on NYE in Savannah, GA with my best friend Mari(s)a and her lover. If you haven't been to this beautiful city, you must go. It was an absolutely lovely and relaxing trip. Not to mention the FOOD, but seriously the food.  I'm pretty sure our entire trip revolved around our next meal and I'm okay with that. I have a ton of pictures.. so excuse the excessive amount I may be posting in the next few days, maybe ill throw a video out there-- i just figured out how to kinda-sorta-work imovie after 5 years.. hence my previous wanna be wedding collage.

I am so happy we were able to spend our anniversary in such a charming town, we had a wonderful time. i would totally be okay with living there someday. Ahem, Chris...

Dear Chris

365 days ago, I was hiding from you and watching the most beautiful backyard wedding(bias..i know, sorry) unfold in front of me. Our family & friends seriously outdid themselves, we're so blessed. At this moment I was totally unaware of how much I would love you today. I didn't think it was possible to love someone more. My heart has grown so much in the past year.

This has been one of the best chapters in my life, so thank you Chris for loving me past my flaws, laughing with me, kissing me when im grumpy, for going downstairs almost every night and getting me ice water, for getting up to put my earrings away every night, praying with me, dancing in public with me, listening to my thoughts and worries, and for being my best friend. I am forever blessed with you by my side. i promise to love you always.

I look back on this past year and all the beauty that has come from it, i look forward to these days forever.

 i love you. happy anniversary!
