Packing, cleaning, wrapping, flying and trying to save a tree.

*I feel like this light hearted post I am about to write should not be following my previous post. I am guilty of taking my every day blessings (food, health, shelter, love, comfort, safety) for granted. I want to note that my prayers are being said for those who are forever affected by the connecticut tragedy. I pray the Lord brings peace to those families admist the horror that has become their reality.

Chris and I have been going nonstop for the last few days. Between shopping for last minute gifts and church events and Christmas parties not to mention our 40 hour work weeks..we have been quite the busy bees. However, Christmas is quickly approaching and I couldn't be more excited.

We are off to spend the next few days in Birmingham, AL with Chris' moms family, which is always a wonderful time! Not to mention we planned on driving that lovely 10 hour drive but his mom surprised us with plane tickets a couple weeks ago --she's a doll! Seriously, thank you thank you thank you. We will finally have a few days of winter weather (what we consider winter weather) ahead of us and a break from the 75 degree humidity!

Well around the Merrell house things have been more hectic than usual. My Christmas tree which i adore is unfortunately dying. I am beyond sad about this as I like to keep my tree up until February (kidding, kinda). Hopefully the little guy can stick it out atleast another week.. if not i may cry. And i have been waiting on those wrapping elves to show up and wrap my gifts beautifully but im starting to think they forgot about me or maybe they mom is running around last minute shopping ;) so Chris, whip out the espresso we are going to have a wrapping date!

I must get back to packing, cleaning, and wrapping or starting that is..and nursing that brown tree back to health.

Have a wonderful day!
xoxo
P.S. here are my FINISHED thank you cards!
